Volunteer Opportunities
Family Promise has many amazing volunteers helping to support families and individuals facing a housing crisis! Each year, Family Promise assists over 30 families experiencing a housing crisis with shelter. It would not have been possible without every one of our valuable volunteers.
We have many ways for individuals, groups, families, congregations, and businesses to become involved – age, skill, and availability doesn’t matter – we will find the perfect fit!
Partnership & Sponsorships
Local congregations have had an integral part in the day-to-day operations of the Family Promise shelter program since it opened its doors in 2015. In the past, the congregations provided overnight shelter, warm meals, and fellowship, but that all changed in April of 2020. Currently, congregations are providing warm meals for our shelter guests Monday – Friday and conducting supply drives to meet the shelter guests’ basic needs.
Today, we have 19 network congregations that are actively involved with the Family Promise shelter program but we are always in need of additional congregations to assist us in meeting the needs of homeless families and individuals in Ozaukee County.
If your congregation is interested in becoming involved, please contact Kennedy Kingston, BSW at volunteer@familypromiseoz.org or call (262) 268-2723
